Mircea Constatin - Romania
My last season experience in Canada was unique thanks to the Tillsonburg community. In the beginning i went through a difficult time while at the Komoka team where i couldn't seem to fit in. This was followed by trade to Tillsonburg Hurricanes that completely changed my opinion about Canada.
At Hurricanes i met a professional team wich included the owner, the manager and staff. Even if they are new in GMHL they showed that they were true professionals and due their performance they hosted the GMHL All Star game. There i was able to represent my team as well the All Star game. The game was a success and after while Canada's team was defeated on the ice. The most importamt thing was the fans who supported us regardless of outcome. I believe we had the highest average of spectators per match. They made us feel like true professionals, stars on and outside of the ice rink. I was fortunate enough to meet extraordinary coaches who helped me to develop my skills.
My billet Mathew Otto with owner Ian Ellis and coaches Mark and Jason were all my mentors and my guiders throughout my stay. My teammates were like my brothers and i am happy i was part of the team. I could never wish for a better family in my first year in Canada.
